Vanae James-Bey is a 6-year-old who is challenging and changing the Historical narrative for kids with the use of her art! With the help of her mother, Vanae has created an educational coloring book for children of all ages. She loves nature and loves to explore and history/culture is very important to her and her family. She, therefore, decided to share knowledge on some of the oldest people on Earth.
This coloring book – “The Indigenous Adventures of Princess Vanae,” which went on sale March 31, explores the histories of native-born Black people in Africa and America. The book is themed on inspiring others to learn and explore cultures outside of their own. She plans on authoring more books in the near future.
